New Card

Use this page to create a managed card for the CardSpace protocol. You can select to back the managed card with a personal card. If the managed card allows for auto-connect, backing the card with a personal card allows the user to log in with just the personal card.

To create a managed card without backing it with a personal card:

  1. Select a managed card template.

  2. Name the card

  3. Click Create Card.

    You can then select to save the card to a file and import it into your card selector, or you can open your card selector and install it.

To create a managed card that is backed by a personal card:

  1. Select a managed card template.

  2. Name the card.

  3. Select Use Personal Card For Authentication.

  4. When your card selector opens, select a personal card, then click Send.

  5. On the New Card page, click Create Card.

    You can then select to save the card to a file and import it into your card selector, or you can open your card selector and install it.
